Ana sayfa / News

Elon Musk announced in an announcement he made at X that Starlink will start a direct internet service for mobile phones. In the first stage, this service will be offered only through T-Mobile in the United States. However, Musk stated that their long-term goal is to open this service to all mobile operators. Here are the details…

Starlink provides very fast internet access through SpaceX’s Earth-orbiting satellites. Offering a revolutionary service, especially in rural and remote areas where internet connectivity is weak, Starlink is now bringing this service directly to mobile devices. This will allow users to access the internet almost anywhere with their mobile devices without interruption.

The partnership between Starlink and T-Mobile will initially only be available to T-Mobile users in the US. However, as Musk stated, there is a plan to start with one operator in each country and eventually open it up to all operators. In other words, it is expected that this service will soon be offered through other operators.

According to information shared by Ben Longmier, 26 new satellites have been placed into orbit as part of SpaceX’s “ Direct to Cell ” program. These satellites will primarily cover T-Mobile’s service area across the US. Now users in these regions will be able to experience uninterrupted internet without dead zones.

The Starlink and T-Mobile collaboration is planned to solve the difficulties experienced especially in internet access. Ultimately, it seems that it will provide great freedom for many users in terms of internet.
